COVID-19 convalescent plasma donation

What is Convalescent Plasma?

If you've recovered from COVID-19, then you've developed antibodies against the virus, which reside in your blood plasma. Share a portion of your antibodies with a plasma donation, an act of kindness that may help others make a recovery. As your body produces more to maintain your immunity, you can potentially donate multiple times.

How to know if you can donate:

  • Received a nasal test or blood test confirming COVID-19

  • Be 18-69 years of age

  • Weigh at least 110 pounds (49.9kg)

  • Be symptom-free for 28 days

  • Meet current plasma donor criteria

What happens to my donation?

The use of convalescent plasma to help treat those with COVID-19 is one of the world's first promising treatments. Although not a vaccine, the sharing of antibodies within your plasma may help those who don't have immunity or are already infected. With your donation, we can develop an immunoglobulin, a plasma-based medicine, to potentially treat the disease.

Because you're saving lives during a pandemic, your compensation amounts may be higher. Please ask your center team for more details.
